A robot Arm Controlled wirelessly by a glove
This Idea came after we learned late of a sudden local collage competition between different departments of engineering. we had only 15 days to come with an idea and execute it while other departments had over a month. we decided with a Robot controlled arm controlled Wirelessly using a glove fitted with sensors and a microcontroller.
The sensors were supposed to be self-made/DIY electromagnetic sensors. This design aimed to have precision and accuracy. But the deadline was only 8 days. Therefore, we had to choose the simple Flex sensors.
By the time the competition came, we had a printed 3D model of a hand. It was fitted with steel wire and motors. We also had a glove fitted with flex sensors and a microcontroller. This setup was working and mimicking the hand in the glove.
we got 4th place in the competition even though we learned about it late
